Merit Capital Partners Invests in Kish Company, Inc.

In late 2024, Merit Capital Partners partnered with Founder, John Kish, and management to recapitalize Kish Company, Inc. (“Kish” or the “Company”).

Headquartered in Mentor, Ohio, Kish is a leading distributor and processor of industrial minerals, specializing in lightweighting spheres, calcium carbonates, mica, and other minerals. The Company’s products are utilized across diverse end markets, including coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers (CASE), plastics, building products, and refractories. With strategically located processing facilities and a strong supplier network, Kish has established itself as a value-added provider of industrial minerals to customers throughout North America.

Robust Acquisitions for Existing Portfolio Companies

In addition to a strong pipeline, Merit completed a number of portfolio add-on acquistions aimed at driving meaningful growth. The five acquisitions completed this year demonstrated strong strategic alignment and the ability to drive operational synergies, expand margins, and enhance long-term value creation.

American Producers Supply bought CN Construction Tool, which strengthens its position in surrounding markets and supports continued regional expansion.

Circuit Check acquired Solution Sources Programming, a California-based test programming firm, that enables expansion into a key targeted growth market.

Kemper expanded its platform with the addition of Eastrock Solutions, a provider of equipment and aftermarket parts, which further bolsters its presence in the Northeast region.

Nester completed the acquisition of one of its primary domestic competitors, Fox River Mills, which significantly expands its domestic production volume, as well as adds key new customers and sales channels.

Midwest Manufacturing acquired Performance Industrial Construction, a construction installation service provider to the concrete batch industry, which enhances Midwest Manufacturing’s installation, service, and repair capabilities.
